I know many people complain about the users who think they know something, a little knowledge can be dangerous, because everyone thing they know everything. But in my case I did spend three years learning and studying computer programming and was also a tech savant before that. I gave up programming not from being unable to cope with the programming but thinking that I probably should have switched to IT. So in this context is my story….

After dropping my friend home last night, who came over for a weekend I sat on my computer as usual. My computer was on as I keep downloading stuff and we use it for watching videos and stuff. So while I was watching one of my favorite Schiller video I saw my antivirus update window was open. I saw a spark in my computer and suddenly it froze; I panicked and called my friend from the other room. Not recognizing this right off the top of my head. I rebooted my computer and it showed me a NTLDR error. I waited for the startup silliness to finish doing a quick search over it. And I saw a non-bootable error. I also saw that SATA raid array loading up properly so I realized that the mother board didn’t fail completely. I went into the BIOS, and while I was waiting for the thing to finish getting to the point it showed up that BIOS wasn’t reading the hard drive. I was really upset. So now I went down to look inside the computer. Using the last 1/4th can of compressed air I had, I blew out the thick coating of dust on everything inside it. After doing that I check if everything plugged in completely and then I restarted my machine again. And unfortunately it didn’t work and it showed the same error again. It was a little annoying for me as I couldn’t solve it. My friend became more panic than me. He kept on nagging that we couldn’t afford to get new parts and how tough it is to reinstall everything. I told him not have a heart attack as I had a triumph card with me.

I always saw my dad consulting this company called iYogi, and he had never been disappointed with them. I took out the number from my dad and called them up instantly. My call got connected to a technician after going through the scripted procedure. I told him my problem and what I did to fix it. He asked me to reboot it once and when it showed me the same error, so he remotely connected him to my computer. He could now see my screen through his. He then told me to follow few instructions as guided by him. I did exactly what he said and after about an hour he could finally resolve my issue and I could then start my computer again. I thanked him a lot and also told him that my dad is a loyal customer of theirs. He was also happy to cater me as it seemed. So when everything up and running fine my friend and I let out a huge sigh of relief.
