I literally felt the soles of my boots crunch the loose sand beneath my feet as I took my first steps onto the designated drop off zone in the field while playing Counter Strike (CS) game for the first time four years ago. Since then, playing Counter Strike has been a regular feature after work. After a hectic day at work in the engineering lab I used to bind myself into that small screen of my computer playing Counter Strike. My friends started getting annoyed since I stopped spending time with them at all. Most of my friends used to taunt me that I have become the abysmal character in the game. However they had no clued that how I feel about it, I was drawn to the character because he appeared different and out of place. I wanted to take myself on another level to experiencing CS beyond visual and oral senses. I almost made a virtual world of mine which I can customize as I want it to be. This in the sense that we actually experience, project ourselves to or aspects of our consciousness to this amazing virtual world created. I feel a complete different person all together from the person next to me. This becomes far more obscure in an online world.
All was fine till the day my mouse started acting weird. While I was in the middle of a game, the mouse would stop working and after a few minutes it would automatically start working again. It was a pretty scary stuff for me. First I thought it happened randomly, one in a million events, but when the mouse would become unresponsive frequently, I became really mad and frustrated. I was almost about to shoot a terrorist in my game and suddenly my mouse went off! This made my character ran around like an idiot looking at the ground. Of course, someone would kill me rather quickly. I ignored it quite often until it started making a dent on my game. Earlier I used to spend 6 to 8 hours on CS which reduced to 1 to 2 hours because of the dead mouse. I am not one of those people who accept defeat easily. So, I asked my friends if they had ever faced a problem like this before and if they had any idea to fix it. They didn’t bother to help me as they were happy that finally they got to meet me and the number of hours that I spent in front of my computer were reduced. I spent many caffeine-fueled nights searching the Internet for answers to my problem. After a long process of research, I found many people with the same problem. So I e-mailed Dell technical support. I told them I'd had problem with my mouse and also that how important my mouse is to me for playing games. I told them very bluntly not to send me a new mouse. Because I am too impatient to just go through the hassle of tech support. I was really frustrated with the mouse problem, so I e-mailed technical support again and again but I didn’t receive any response from them. Having tried everything I was on the verge of giving up, when a friend called up and insisted me to visit a site for help, called www.iyogi.net. On his suggestion, and in my desperation to play CS without any problems, I went through the site. I read all iYogi’s forums and reviews for my research and I noticed many people had similar problems and
iYogi had helped them successfully.
That grew a hope in me, though I was very paranoid going through the tech support process. I tried being a little calm and it was then that I decided to call iYogi on their toll free number and speak with their resident tech experts. A very helpful technician answered my call and asked me about the problem I was facing with my computer. In order to resolve problem with the mouse, he suggested that I listen carefully to his instructions and steps. I followed the steps as instructed and I finally was able to fix my mouse problem. The credit definitely goes to iYogi services. They have the most systematic way of making their site useful for their customers. And my wish is been fulfilled; now I am not only again playing CS just without any disturbance but also became one of the top performer of the team. My team started scoring better than earlier and my mouse running all fine.
